 Nominating A Woman For Women On The Move®
Eligibility Requirements
  1. Must have at least seven years in the workforce in a professional, trade, cultural, government or civic occupation.
  2. Must have been in current profession for three years.
  3. Must have an undergraduate degree and/or an equivalent professional certification and/or outstanding recognition by her profession.
  4. Must have served in a position of responsibility.
  5. Must have diverse involvement in community and/or charitable projects in addition to employment responsibilities.
  6. Must have been a resident of the greater Houston or surrounding area for the past two years.
  7. Declared candidates running for public office are not eligible.
  8. Employees of the Houston Chronicle, current and former Texas Executive Women, their advertising agencies or immediate families are not eligible.
  9. If selected, the honoree must be available for interviews, attend the Women on the Move® reunion event, and attend the Women on the Move® Luncheon.
  10. If selected, the honoree commits to volunteer 16 hours in the Texas Executive Women’s programs.

The Women on the Move® nominees are selected based on professional activities, community service and their life journey. The nominee must be outstanding in her business or profession and have diverse community involvement. Your personal observations and insight regarding the nominee are invaluable to the pre-screening and judging processes.

The nomination form must include a narrative addressing these points
  • Life journey/Personal history
  • Professional achievements
  • Community Service and/or cultural involvement and accomplishments
  • List any positions of responsibility in professional, trade or government organizations and briefly describe their significance

The nominee’s resume or curriculum vitae must also be included.
