Mentoring Success Stories

Success stories -- there are many!

Wynetka, a third-time ninth grader, was destined to become a dropout. With the help and support of TEW, she entered the Seaborne Conservation Corps, got her GED and joined the Navy.

Monica wrote, "I would love to thank the women in TEW for pointing me in the right direction. Now I'm looking at things more clearly -- I see I have nothing to rush into. There's nothing more important than my health and education. I will not let anything or anybody keep me down -- I have people who are depending on me -- including myself."

Marian summed it up with "I’ve learned I don’t have to be a victim--my choices determine my future!"
