LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Donna Balin

Greetings Astounding Women!

Autumn is upon us and what a great time of the year!

Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all. ~ -Stanley Horowitz

We are in a busy time of the year with Women On The Move® and all of the exciting events leading up to it. You all have put together once again a very impressive panel of WOM® honorees. I think that you will be very proud once you get to know them and learn about their awesome successes.

The mentoring programs are in full swing. Yippee! Margo Snider kicked off the month with the first mentoring program in Galveston. This is a brand new program and we are so grateful that Margo has once again managed this accomplishment. Thank you, Margo, for all that you do for TEW!  Please join with me and express your gratitude to Margo; her sincere dedication and support to TEW continues to amaze me -- and many others.

Several of us have the honor of dining with the Aldine students at the Greenspoint Club this month. Annie Cater will be teaching us how to be fine young ladies enhancing our confidence in social and business settings as we venture out into the real world.

The votes are coming in, and we are still counting! If you have not submitted your vote for our 2005 slate for the Board, please do so. We are extremely excited about the slate and thankful to those who have come forward to dedicate their time to our organization. We sincerely appreciate your support.

I have listed the upcoming events that will take place this month, and I hope to see you there.

October 12th, Monthly Meeting
Jeann Howse has once again planned a great meeting. We are having a Past President's Reunion and will reminisce their years of accomplishment. This will be a great meeting to become educated on the history of TEW and meet the founding mothers of our great organization.

October 21 st , President's Dinner
We will be meeting at The State Grille. Please see Jeanne Howse if you are interested in attending. If you have not yet attended a dinner this year, I would encourage you to go since; we only have one more planned for the rest of the year. It is a wonderful way to get to know one another.

Finally, remember the Women On The Move® luncheon on Friday, November 5th ! This is the event that we have all been waiting for. Please contact Margo Donaldson Snider, Women On The Move® Chair, for information regarding table reservations and sponsorships.

Sincerely,

, CFP ®

  • Many people who attended the monthly meeting wanted to know how to hear more about Jill Carroll and her programs. Here's how: "The best way is for people to go to my wesite:  www.religiosities.net   and do 2 things - first, check out the "Upcoming Events" section, which lists nearly all the things I'm contracted to do at that time, then, second, click to "survey" and fill out and submit the little survey, which will add your email to my database."
