LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
January President's Message: Happy New Year to all Texas Executive Women! Welcome to a year in TEW that holds much promise for all our members. My personal dream this year is to help all TEW members share my experience and enjoy the benefits of active participation with our beloved group. Since joining as a 2003 Woman on the Move®, I have come to love and appreciate the organization in ever increasing degrees. There is tremendous respect for our founders and leaders and the impressive accomplishments that are generously sprinkled throughout our history. As regular meeting attendees we have been provided a broad spectrum of speakers and programs to enhance our knowledge of events in our community. Through our mentoring programs we have touched the lives of many deserving young women and assured their ability to pursue career goals by bestowing scholarships. Annually we select 10 deserving women in the community who represent our values and determination. We honor them with the Woman on the Move® award and welcome them to our ranks. We earnestly hope that by so doing we accomplish several things. We raise the funds required to operate our mentoring programs, to underwrite our scholarship budget and to grow our membership. We believe that membership for that first year should expose every WOM to the joys of nurturing young women and to the pleasure of cultivating lasting friendships within our ranks. Like trust fund children we can simply soak up the largess of our past, or like visionaries we can work together to assure our work will be carried on for generations to come. So, please come be a visionary with me. Send us your renewal dues if you haven't already done so. Place our meeting date on your monthly calendar (it's the second Tuesday). Plan to take part in our social events in the summer and during the holidays. And by all means make a New Year's resolution to support the Woman on the Move® luncheon by promoting table sales with sponsor prospects. So let us each be legacy minded as we enter 2007, a year filled with promise for TEW and its future. Beverly Kaufman
